Where to go on a luxury holiday in November

November is when the long-haul winter season opens. The Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius and Caribbean enter their dry season. India is at its best — Rajasthan and the south are cool and dry. South Africa, the Sabi Sand and Cape Town move toward summer. Sri Lanka's south coast opens. For European luxury, this is the quiet season — but for long-haul, November is the start of the best six months of the year.

November opens the Indian Ocean dry season and the Caribbean reopens — plus India's best month and southern hemisphere summer.
