UK October half-term is October 26 – November 1, 2026. We recommend booking 6–9 months ahead, especially for Japan, Kenya safari, and short-haul European destinations.
October is the tail of hurricane season — risk is reduced after October 20 but not zero. We recommend late November onward for the Caribbean, and Indian Ocean (Maldives, Mauritius) for October half-term.
Daytime 18–24°C in Tuscany and Rome, slightly cooler in the north. The Amalfi Coast remains warm enough for swimming until mid-month. Ideal for non-beach Italy.
