Bali has a dry season (April–October) and a wet season (November–March). The best months are May, June and September — warm, dry and quieter than the European summer holidays. July and August are peak with Australian and European holidaymakers; January and February see the heaviest rainfall.
May, June and September are the sweet spot — dry season, warm temperatures and lighter crowds than July–August. Avoid January and February (peak rains).
